Homebuyer Education Available Through CMG MI

Some loan programs require that borrowers complete a pre-purchase homebuyer education course in order to qualify. CMG MI recognizes that this is a rapidly expanding market in many regions of the country and that Credit Unions need to be able to provide that training to their Members.

Through our affiliation with one of our parent companies, PMI Mortgage Insurance Co., CMG MI is able to offer our customers access to PMI's online pre-purchase Homebuyer Education counseling. Provided by Legal Resource Network, counseling is available in both English and Spanish - and complimentary to  Credit Union Members.

Online Counseling
Your Members must first register for the course, then read each interactive module and answer questions online. Once each module has been completed and the final quiz successfully passed, Members may print their certificate of completion.

Phone Counseling
In addition, CMG MI offers our Credit Union customers access to PMI's phone counseling, for both "Becoming a Successful Homeowner" and "Becoming a Landlord."

Once the counseling session is completed, the Member will obtain a faxed certificate of completion.
