Senior VP Kathy Schroeder and Family Serve Thanksgiving at Glide Memorial

Every year at Thanksgiving, Glide Memorial United Methodist Church welcomes the poor and needy to a holiday meal prepared and served by volunteers. Situated in San Francisco's Tenderloin district, the church feeds about 5,000 at each yearly celebration.

CMG MI's own Senior Vice President and General Manager, Kathy Schroeder, took time out of her own holiday to volunteer along with her family for the 2007 Glide Thanksgiving. "We carved many, many turkeys," she laughed.

Kathy is a firm believer in reaching out to the larger community. "It's important to remember the people who don't have a family or anywhere to go on Thanksgiving,” she said. “I’m very thankful for my own family and the opportunity to make someone else’s holiday a little better."

"Volunteering is a great way to share holiday spirit," Kathy said.
