CMG MI Contributes to the Charity Challenge!

One of CMG MI’s parent companies, PMI Mortgage Insurance Co., announced the Charity Challenge last year. Employees were divided up into 7 teams, with each team receiving $1,000 and tasked with raising more money or donating time in a chosen charitable cause.

CMG MI employees joined Team Katkov, under the leadership of PMI’s Chief Business Officer David Katkov. The chosen cause was helping to feed the hungry by supporting the charity organization Feeding America (www.feedingamerica.org).

Team Katkov’s activities in pursuit of the goal were diverse. Spread across the United States, team members launched a spare change drive, a cupcake sale and volunteering, under the slogans “Feeding America One Dime at a Time,” “Feeding America One Cupcake at a Time,” and “Feeding America One Hour at a Time.”

The CMG MI effort focused on collecting groceries for donation – “Feeding America One Delivery at a Time.” It was coordinated by Underwriting and Administrative Assistant Shari Morgan, who alerted CMG MI employees to the drive and handled the logistics. “I believe we have to do our part in this world and this is one small part,” she said.

Ultimately, CMG MI collected 150 cans of soups, fruit, beans, vegetables, prepared foods and more for donation. Team Katkov’s efforts continue through March 31 – already $2,000 has been added to the original $1,000, earmarked for Feeding America.
