  • All loans initially declined are automatically sent for a second review to an Underwriting Network supervisor.
  • Prior to loan being submitted for a second review, the underwriter will seek alternative scenarios under which the loan might be approved.
  • Any questions regarding the loan file will be discussed in a live conversation with the customer.

Loan Modification and Loss Mitigation Support

CMG MI's Underwriting Network is also your first point of contact with CMG MI when seeking loan modification assistance on CMG MI-insured loans. The Network will discuss the Member's situation with you, assess the status of the loan and refer you to the appropriate CMG MI department for implementing any eligible loan modification.

Please contact the Underwriting Network during business hours to initiate the loan modification process for your CMG MI-insured loans. CMG MI's underwriters are trained to provide guidance and appropriate recommendations to Credit Unions seeking assistance.
